Inaugural DenAI Summit Announces Headline Speakers for September Conference

LinkedIn Cofounder Reid Hoffman, Promise CEO Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins, and major Denver tech CEOs to Lead DenAI Speaker Line Up

DENVER, CO – The DenAI Summit, the first major city-led convening of the artificial intelligence (AI) community focused on how to use artificial intelligence for good, today announced the first set of speakers for the upcoming conference taking place Sept. 19, 2024 at the Colorado Convention Center.

Reid Hoffman, cofounder of LinkedIn and partner at Greylock Partners, will lead a fireside chat moderated by Denver Mayor Mike Johnston discussing the transformative potential of AI for good. Hoffman will explore how AI can be harnessed to address some of the most pressing challenges facing governments while sharing insights on real world applications where AI is already making a difference and how governments can employ the ethical frameworks necessary to ensure AI is used responsibly and ethically.

Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins, CEO of Promise, will lead an additional fireside chat moderated by Seth Sternberg, cofounder and CEO of Honor. Ellis-Lamkins will share her journey in building a billion-dollar AI-driven business serving cities and governments, focusing on how innovative AI solutions can enhance public services and reduce systemic inequities. She will also demystify AI by addressing safeguards and dispelling misconceptions, fostering public trust and understanding of AI’s potential to solve public issues.

In addition to the headline speakers, DenAI announced Denver-based industry leaders Bryan Leach, President and CEO of Ibotta, and Bijal Shah, CEO of Guild, will join as speakers at the Summit, highlighting the role of homegrown Colorado companies in the emerging AI industry.

The DenAI Summit will convene public and private sector leaders from around the world to explore new ways to use AI to solve hard social problems. Every year, the Summit will focus on a specific issue that cities across the world are struggling with and how AI technology can be used responsibly to accelerate social impact. In its first year, DenAI will focus on affordability, specifically finding creative ways in which AI technology can be used to help make cities more affordable for the people who live, work, and serve the city.
