Denver, CO August 4, 2025 – The DenAI Summit, the first major city-led convening of the artificial intelligence (AI) community, today announced its return on Sep. 29-30, 2025, at the Denver Art Museum.

“Local governments across the country are facing seemingly insurmountable challenges — managing national economic uncertainty, increasing costs of housing and goods, and addressing public safety — on top of delivering the public services our residents expect,” said Mayor Mike Johnston. “But we know that these problems are solvable, and we have an opportunity to harness AI technology to deliver real results. As a growing hub for AI, the second DenAI Summit puts Denver at the center of bringing people together to take actionable steps to tackle these tough challenges with responsible technology.”

This year, global AI and policy leaders are coming together with sharp urgency to leverage cutting-edge technology to modernize and transform government by improving public services while decreasing costs. As a national hub for innovation and technology, Denver is leading the way in developing responsible AI solutions to some of the nation’s toughest challenges, including housing, homelessness, and permitting.

Last year’s inaugural DenAI Summit brought together public and private sector leaders, including LinkedIn cofounder Reid Hoffman and former Google CEO Eric Schmidt to address responsible AI solutions for complex social challenges. Following the success of last year’s city-led debut, the 2025 summit continues that momentum, focusing on how local governments can deploy AI to tackle growing fiscal constraints amid national economic uncertainty, boost public trust, and modernize core public services.

The 2025 DenAI Summit will feature a powerhouse lineup, including our first keynote announcement:

Jennifer Pahlka, Founder of Code for America and Former U.S. Deputy Chief Technology Officer

Jennifer Pahlka is a senior fellow at the Niskanen Center, a senior advisor to the Abundance Network, and the founding board chair of the Recoding America Fund. She has served as deputy chief technology officer of the United States under President Obama and a member of the Defense Innovation Board under Obama and Trump. She founded the award-winning nonprofit Code for America, which she led for ten years. Pahlka was selected by Wired magazine as one of the people who have most shaped technology and society in the past twenty-five years. Ezra Klein called her book Recoding America “the book I wish all policymakers would read.”
